Pojoaque Pueblo has undergone two distinct historical de-populations. It has since rebuilt itself through the revival of cultural traditions and practices as well as an aggressive economic development program. Tribal enterprises include the Wellness Center that houses a gym, library, Community Health Representative program and senior citizens center, the Cities of Gold Casino, which features restaurants, shopping, a sports bar with off-track betting and a hotel. The Poeh Center and Museum is very active in preserving and nurturing the traditional arts of the Tewa speaking pueblos and features Pueblo arts and exhibits, and on weekends it hosts traditional Indian dances, it also houses the largest Indian arts and crafts shop in northern New Mexico. The Pojoaque Tourist Center, displays and sells locally made pottery, rugs, sculpture, kachinas, sand paintings and other souvenirs |
