Education Summit Agenda:

10-10:30AM
Secretary Keyes from the Economic Development Department will open the Summit and introduce Secretary O’Neill from Higher Education Department.

10:30-11:30AM-Town Hall with Film Office and HED/PED Reps (exact panel TBD)
Please come prepared to share where you would like to see changes in your educational programs, topics that you are concerned about and how you would like to see New Mexico schools organized to best serve our students.

11:30-1:00pm-Lunch
Based on the Town Hall we will reorganize the Summit by tables so that you can start talking about solutions to the concerns brought up in the Town Hall. Lunch will be hosted by the Santa Fe Film Festival.

1:00-2:30pm-Committee and Group Formation
We will come back from lunch with the list of topics the directors felt were most important to tackle, at that point we will allow all attendees to pick the group they want to be a part of. Anyone in that group is welcome to be a part of a committee designated to solving the concern. Each group will pick a leader that will report to the NMFO and the designated HED/PED representative and coordinate further discussion and execution of the Committees task force.

2:30-3:00PM-Group Reporting
Each group will report on what their committee came up with as an action plan to move forward.

The mission of this event is to stimulate communication, create fresh ideas and establish lasting bonds and relationships between New Mexico’s film and media industry and secondary and higher education institutions, thus, establishing a well-defined educational environment that offers cutting edge training for today’s competitive industry.

Signed Language Interpreters will be provided upon request. Requests must be received at least 10 days before the event.
