The New Mexico Media Academy is seeking a contract position with the Academy to the meet the below scope of work. The position would be full time, 40 hrs or more per week and would report to the Exec Director and Deputy Director. The position will require coordination with several state agencies as well as in person office attendance. Please inquire with the film office by submitting a detailed resume and annual salary request.
The contractor will manage the day-to-day fiscal matters with expertise in the Statewide Human Resources, Accounting and Reporting System (SHARE) for the New Mexico Economic Development Department (NMEDD) media academy to ensure the procurement of goods and services as well as reconcile and monitor budgets associated with the media academy. The contractor will work closely with the media academy Executive Director, Deputy Director, Associate Director, and New Mexico Film Office (NMFO) senior management.
The contractor will work with the NMFO and the Administrative Services Division of the NMEDD to ensure purchase orders and payments are processed in a timely manner. A monthly budget report will be emailed to media academy directors and NMFO senior staff.
The contractor will be required to coordinate ordering supplies, drafting contracts, drafting request for proposals, obtaining bids, purchase requests, purchase order, process payments, travel requests and travel reimbursements and track budget. The contractor will also be responsible for managing the fiscal portion of contracts and request for proposals.

Head of Production - New Mexico Media Academy (NMMA)
Position Overview:
The Head of Production for the NMMA, plays a pivotal role in driving the success of job training and career development by providing strategic leadership and direction to the production teams and the program's administrative and support staff. Reporting to the Executive Director and the Deputy Director, the Head of Production collaborates with union representatives, department managers, Consortium of Educational Partner (CEP) representatives, media vendors and production teams to ensure effective training, efficient production processes, and adherence to union requirements and safety at the NMMA. This is a key leadership position that requires a combination of strong production experience, training program development expertise, and a passion for empowering future media crew members. This position works remotely, fostering a flexible and autonomous work environment that supports productivity while maintaining effective collaboration and teamwork.

New Mexico Media Arts Collective (NMMAC)
Introduction
The New Mexico Media Academy (NMMA) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced educational consultants to serve as the Lead Curriculum and Assessment Consultant. The consultant will concentrate on facilitating the final design, review, and assessment of a comprehensive training framework aimed at preparing students for paid internships as entry-level crew members at the New Mexico Media Academy.

Qualifications

4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Scope of Work: Head of Physical Production
OverviewThe Head of Physical Production at the New Mexico Media Academy will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of physical production, from pre-production planning to post-production deliverables. This role has an educational and training aspect, which involves collaborating with educational teams for student engagement in production activities. The position will work closely with the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Producers, and department heads to ensure that all physical elements of production are aligned with creative vision, educational objectives, and budget constraints.
DurationThe contract will be for a duration of 12 months, subject to review and renewal.
Responsibilities
Pre-Production
1. Budget Planning and Management: Collaborate with the Executive Director, Deputy Director, and Producers to establish and adhere to production budgets.
2. Scheduling: Develop a production schedule in conjunction with the Executive Director, Deputy Director, and Producers.
3. Resource Allocation: Allocate necessary resources such as crew, equipment, and locations.
4. Logistical Planning: Plan and manage logistics, including permits, insurance, and legal clearances.
5. Educational Collaboration: Work with educational teams to incorporate training opportunities for students into the production plan.
Production
1. On-Set Management: Supervise all on-set operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and educational value.
2. Quality Control: Maintain high production values, ensuring that final products meet quality standards.
3. Team Coordination: Coordinate between different departments, such as art, camera, lighting, sound, and wardrobe to ensure seamless execution.
4. Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve on-set issues.
5. Educational Oversight: Provide mentorship and oversee student involvement in physical production tasks.
6. Compliance: Ensure that production is in compliance with union regulations, health and safety laws, and other relevant legislation.
Post-Production
1. Asset Management: Oversee the cataloging, storage, and potential reuse of physical assets.
2. Wrap Reports: Create and distribute wrap reports detailing production expenditures, challenges, successes, and educational outcomes.
3. Feedback Loop: Collaborate with post-production teams and educational departments to ensure the smooth transition of physical elements into the post-production process.

Payment and Compensation

The Head of Physical Production will report directly to the Executive Director and Deputy Director, with the understanding that they may also report to other Producers as assigned by the Executive Director and Deputy Director.
Miscellaneous
1. Expected to travel as required for location shoots.
2. Must be available for occasional weekend and evening work.
