ON SET IN NEW MEXICO FILM & MEDIA CONFERENCE
On September 2-3, New Mexico's film community showed up — and showed out — at the Albuquerque Rail Yards for "On Set in New Mexico: Film & Media Conference," the first-ever event to be held at Central New Mexico Community College's new Media Arts Collective (MAC).
Months of planning came together in two packed days that brought the community together for learning and networking.
Across nine panels — from State of the Industry and Tech Takes the Stage to Talent Connection Roundtable, Competing on a Global Stage, and The Business of You — 41 speakers shared the insight and experience keeping New Mexico at the top of the list for production. The conversations didn't stay on stage, either. Q&A sessions turned into real dialogue, with attendees raising the hard questions our industry needs to keep asking.
By the time it wrapped, 469 attendees had come through the doors — proof of just how much energy and investment there is in New Mexico's film and media future.
