Maximize Your Production Savings with New Mexico's Film Tax Credits

Take advantage of New Mexico’s generous Film Tax Credit, offering up to 40% savings on qualified expenditures for your production. With additional uplifts for series television, pilots, and filming in designated zones, you can maximize your budget and resources. The Refundable Tax Credit

No minimum spend requirement. No application fees. Credits allowed: FYI-370. *The uplifts for television and the QPF cannot be stacked. Base 25% up to 40%. NM Taxation and Revenue Department list of Qualified Film Vendors.

    Film Crew Advancement Program (FCAP)

    This on-the-job training focuses on NM residents, working primarily in technical positions. FCAP provides an incentive for participating companies to create job opportunities for New Mexico residents to advance their careers. All FCAP participants must have a mentor. The FCAP program provides a 50% reimbursement of the qualifying participants’ wages for up to 1040 hours physically worked by the crew member. For example a NM Grip who is ready to move up to the Best Boy position would qualify. The Key Grip would be that crew member’s mentor.

    Nonresident Below-the-Line-Crew Credit (NRCE)

    The Non-Resident Below the Line Crew (NRCE) program in New Mexico offers a tax credit equal to 15% of wages paid to below-the-line crew members who are not residents of New Mexico and who contribute directly to the production of films or commercial audiovisual projects in the state.
