Project Type: This is a low-budget indie production. Short Film - NON-UNION. Avant-Garde/Mystery/Horror Film. Seeking Actors (18+) & Crew in Santa Fe.
Synopsis:
Over a rainy weekend, two friends become convinced that a family studio they are staying in, is haunted. As time reveals, this ghost may not be exactly what or who they think it is.
Information:
My name is Carlo Armendariz, I am an independent producer and director working on my fourth short film. I am looking for other film-makers/creatives who would like to get involved and contribute their talent to the film. You'll only be required for a few days of filming, on a tiny film set with minimal crew.
This short film will be submitted to the film festivals and available on online streaming platforms.
Actor Pay is negotiable depending on the role and experience. Ranging from $200-$500 a day.
All Actors will be provided: Credit, digital copy and meals.
While pay is limited to less experienced, food/drinks will be provided as well as IMDb credit and footage for reels/portfolio use.
Cast is expected to show up for a rehearsal, photo-shoots, and principal photography.
Casting Roles for the following:
GHOST (Cadence):
Ethnicity: Any
Required Media: Headshot/Photo, video reel and cover letter.
Character Traits: Female in her early twenties. For most of the film, she exists as a ghost: no spoken lines but will do voiceover dialogue in post. She is a beautiful and mysterious young woman with a calming presence. An actress who can speak with the eyes with natural and subtle grace, stillness and emotional depth. Able to move gracefully and mysteriously.
The actress must be able to convey an emotional vulnerability, sincerity and unguarded presence on camera, so the scenes feel timeless and mystical.
Lead role: Full commitment to Santa Fe, NM-based 1-3 day shoot in July/August.
Requires Nudity: Yes
Nudity: This role includes two partial nudity scenes; one is a scene with a see-through garment and there is also a brief moment of nudity (only seen from the side/back). There will be a few shots needed for the photo-shoot that will include implied nudity as well. All scenes involving nudity will be shot on a closed set with only a camera operator and director present. Actor is allowed to bring someone with them during these scenes.
Rate: $200-$500 / day (pay negotiable depending on experience)
In addition to being available for this role, you will also be asked to be available for a full-costume/character photo-shoot, an ADR session and a rehearsal prior to principal photography.
CHRISTIAN:
Ethnicity: Any

Character Traits: Christian is a man in his mid-twenties. A young aspiring artist who loves his art, his smoke, his drink and his girl. He has a simple kind of life and is just searching for meaning and success.
Grounded in his identity, intelligent, artistic, humorous, sarcastic but loving.
Requirements: Actor must be versatile who can flip the switch from enjoyment and leisure to panic and worry. In addition to being available for this role, you will also be asked to be available for a full-costume/character photoshoot and a rehearsal prior to principal photography.

CHASE
Ethnicity: Any

Character Traits: Chase is a quiet and secretive guy who enjoys culture, art and education. At first glance Chase seems like a bookworm, which he somewhat is, but the flip side to that coin is he loves smoking weed, listening to hip hop and hanging with his artistic friends.
Observant, inquisitive, thoughtful, subtly humorous, intelligent and somewhat vulnerable.
Requirements: Actor must be capable of a subtle and emotional presence. Someone who can flip the switch from enjoyment and leisure to panic and trauma. In addition to being available for this role, you will also be asked to be available for a full-costume/character photo-shoot and a rehearsal prior to principal photography.
