New Mexico is highly diverse in many ways. The people working in New Mexico film represent many varied backgrounds – each with their own culture and point of view. This helps filmmakers tell authentic stories that can't be told anywhere else.
This diversity extends to the land itself. With rugged mountains, lush forests, rolling plains and scenic deserts, filmmakers can find nearly any backdrop to tell their stories. We also have big-city skylines, modern architecture and urban environments to complement our traditional Western environments.
