New Mexico Film Office Announces Immersive Media ExperienceSkyBridge” by Marshall Monroe

Santa Fe, NM - Amber Dodson, the New Mexico State Film Office Director, announced today that the immersive media experience, “SkyBridge,” by Marshall Monroe, will be produced in New Mexico.

A former Disney Creative Director and New Mexico native, Monroe is known for his cinemedia productions that use natural media simulation and spectacular live-action sequences combined with specialty physical environments to create works for museums and numerous corporate and high-profile private collections.

Monroe’s works integrate advanced digital and live-action production techniques, including immersive and experiential elements. He holds 19 U.S. patents in systems and technologies related to specialty exhibition and presentation systems.

“We are excited to continue driving the leading edge of mixed reality storytelling,” Monroe said, and we can’t imagine a better place to do this pioneering work than New Mexico.”

The production will employ approximately 5 New Mexico artists.

Monroe’s team has recently completed cinemedia artwork productions featuring the Del Mar Pacific coastal region of Southern California and the spectacular north shore of the Hawaiian Island of Kauai.

“We think of technology as a creative multiplier,” Monroe said. “I saw the power of this approach working on Disney Animated Features like the ‘Lion King’, and in projects with Cirque du Soleil. We also put this mindset to work in launching Spaceport America with the Virgin Galactic team. Now we’re pathfinding into a new realm of fine art, and the clear blue New Mexican sky is the limit!”
