The New Mexico Film Office Announces Feature Film “I’ll Be Gone in June” Set to Begin Production in New Mexico Santa Fe, N.M. - New Mexico Film Office Director Amber Dodson announced today that the feature film “I’ll Be Gone in June” is filming in and around Las Cruces in March. “I’ll Be Gone in June” is directed by Katharina Rivilis and is produced by Léa Germain (Road Movies). The film follows Franny, a 16-year-old exchange student from Germany, who sets out to the US in 2001 in search of freedom and the American Dream. “We’re so excited to see this European co-production coming to Las Cruces to see their story come to life,” stated Keagan Karnes with Inspirado TV. The production is set to employ over 50 New Mexicans, including 25 resident crew members, 22 resident principal actors, and 10 resident background talent.
