The New Mexico Film Office Announces Documentary Film “A Slim Chance” Filming in New Mexico
Santa Fe, N.M. - New Mexico Film Office Director Amber Dodson announced today that the documentary film, “A Slim Chance,” is set to film in La Luz, located in Otero County, through February.
This art-house documentary is about Slim Whitman, the famous country western musician. The film will be comprised of stop-motion animation, puppetry, live-action, and visual representations. The project will be produced, filmed, and edited all in New Mexico.
"A Slim Chance” is directed by John K.D. Graham (“Switched”) and produced and starring Graham Khonsuwon and Lava G. Khonsuwon, a New Mexico – New Voices Stowe Story Labs fellowship recipient for screenwriting.
The production will employ 5 New Mexicans – 3 background talent and 2 principal actors.
