The New Mexico Film Office Announces Feature Film “Opus” Begins Production in New Mexico
Santa Fe, N.M. - New Mexico Film Office Director Amber Dodson announced today that the feature film “Opus” is filming in and around Albuquerque and Pojoaque through December.
“Opus” is directed by Mark Anthony Green and stars Ayo Edebiri, John Malkovich, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, Stephanie Suganami, Young Mazino, Tatanka Means, and Juliette Lewis.
The project is a horror film set around an iconic pop star’s return following his decades-long disappearance.
Collin Creighton and Brad Weston will produce for Makeready, Poppy Hanks, and Jelani Johnson will produce for MACRO Film Studios with Charles D. King as executive producer. Josh Bachove will produce, and Sara Newkirk Simon will executive produce.
The production is set to employ over 700 New Mexicans.
