New Mexico Film Office Announces Post-Production Visual Effects Editing of the Feature Film “Heist 88”
SANTA FE, N.M. - New Mexico State Film Office Director Amber Dodson announced today that the made-for-tv film, “Heist 88,” finalized post-production and visual effects editing in New Mexico in September.
The film is directed by Menhaj Huda (“The Flash,” “Harry and Meghan”), and produced by Angela Bassett (“9-1-1,” “The Rosa Parks Story”), Courtney B. Vance (“Love and Action in Chicago”), Van Toffler (“Hot Mess Holiday,” “It Takes Three”), Barry Barclay (“Call Me Miss Cleo,” “Sheryl”), Lynette Ramirez, and Dwayne Johnson-Cochran (“Exile,” “Tourist”).
“Heist 88,” stars Vance, Bentley Green (‘The Good Doctor,” “Grey’s Anatomy”), Precious Way (“Queens,” “Partners in Rhyme”), Nican Robinson (“Feel Like Ghosts,” “See You Then”), Xavier Clyde (“Hard”), Keesha Sharp (“Power Book II: Ghost,” “Empire”), and Keith David (“Nope,” “Black-ish”). The film is a crime-drama story about Jeremy Horne. When Jeremy shows up for his brother's funeral in 1988 Chicago, he ends up enlisting his nephew and his friends in a heist of Chicago National Bank.
The production employed approximately 15 New Mexico visual artists.
