New Mexico Film Office Announces “Love Lies Bleeding” Filmed in New Mexico

SANTA FE, N.M. - New Mexico State Film Office Director Amber Dodson announced today that the feature, “Love Lies Bleeding,” completed principal photography this summer around Albuquerque.

Directed by Rose Glass (“Saint Maud”) and produced by Andrea Cornwell (for Lobo Films), Oliver Kassman (for Escape Plan Productions), A24, and Film4, “Love Lies Bleeding” is a romance fueled by ego, desire, and the American Dream. The romantic thriller is set in the pressure-laden world of competitive bodybuilding.

The film's producers said they are “thrilled to have New Mexico as [the film's] cinematic backdrop. [New Mexico] is a scenically vibrant and culturally rich southwestern state and an ideal place to center our film.”

The production employed approximately 150 New Mexico crew members, 25 New Mexico principal actors, and approximately 600 New Mexico background talent.
