Documentary on Antonio José Martínez filming in New Mexico
SANTA FE — The documentary “Searching for Padre Martinez” from Espinosa Productions is
filming in New Mexico.
Paul Espinosa is directing and production is taking place in Taos, Española, Abiquiú, Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
"Searching for Padre Martínez" is a personal documentary about history, memory, and the
enduring ties among long-time residents of the U.S.-Mexico borderlands.
Espinosa said the production will follow his journey through northern New Mexico.
“As (I) explore my own family history, I seeks to uncover connections to the dramatic life of
Antonio José Martínez — a 19th-century educator, priest, and politician from Taos,” Espinosa
said.
