Santa Fe, NM - New Mexico State Film Office Director Amber Dodson announced that the independent feature, “Buffalo Buffalo Turquoise Buffalo,” has begun principal photography in and around Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
The film is directed by Tyler Graham Pavey (“The Phoenix Project,” “Five Grand”) and produced by Martha Magruder (“Five Grand,” “Big Sky”), and Keagan Karnes (“Little Brother,” “Walking with Herb”). Stafford Douglas (“Criminal Minds,” “Daybreak”) stars, along with Magruder, Alex Knight (“Narcos”), Jordyn Aquino (“The Cleaning Lady”), and Doug Montoya (“Better Call Saul”) to tell the story of two strangers who find themselves searching for meaning in Albuquerque when their roommate goes missing.
“Independent filmmaking is at its best when it’s local and community-based, and our film ‘Buffalo Buffalo Turquoise Buffalo’ is not only set in New Mexico, but made in New Mexico,” Magruder said.
The production will employ approximately 10 crew members and 20 New Mexico principal actors.
