TRMO: Calyber

Production Announcement

TV series to spotlight Calyber sportfishing vessel, filmed in Las Cruces

The TV series “TRMO: Calyber” wrapped filming in mid-September in Las Cruces.

“TRMO: Calyber” is a documentary series chronicling the design, construction, and testing of a custom Calyber sportfishing vessel. Beginning with the earliest design and engineering decisions, the series follows the project through fabrication, mechanical and electrical systems, propulsion, interiors, electronics, finishing, and final commissioning. Cameras follow the craftsmen, boatbuilders, engineers, technicians, and specialists whose individual disciplines must come together to create a complex, purpose-built offshore vessel.

Along the way, the team confronts the practical realities of custom boatbuilding: changing requirements, engineering challenges, tight tolerances, performance objectives, and the countless decisions that separate an idea on paper from a working vessel.

The series culminates with launch, testing, sea trials, and real-world use, providing an inside look at both the technical process and the human effort behind a one-of-a-kind marine build.

The production is directed and produced by Todd Lundbohm. The production employed nine New Mexico crew members and one New Mexico principal actor.
